Silvia Toca was born in May 9th, 1989 in Guatemala City. She is the oldest of three siblings.
Silvia studied marketing in University Rafael Landívar and then, she studied a master in marketing too. After graduating college, she started working in Bayern in public relations. Then the company offered a job in Bogotá, Colombia, in which Silvia applied. Days after she was chosen for the job.

Soon later Silvia moved to a unknown country with her husband, Andrés Sánchez. There she was, in a new country different from theirs, waiting for new adventures and opportunities.
But she doesn't regret taking that big step, because she has become more independent and she has met new people in the process. But what she misses the most it's her family, so they exchange FaceTime calls whenever they can. Another thing that she misses are the frijoles (beans). In Colombia they have beans but they cook them different and taste different.

One tradition made year after year, is that Silvia and her husband Andrés travel to Guatemala during the christmas holidays. They don't skip this trip for anything. While in Guatemala they eat all the guatemalan food like chuchitos, tostadas, tortillas and... the beans. But when they have to go back to Bogotá they take some tamales with them.
Colombia is a Latin American country just like Guatemala, so some things are similar. What she has noticed is how proud Colombians feel about their culture and the many ethnicities that converge there. She has also noticed the richness in music, because they listen and dance to salsa, merengue and the national vallenato. Toca considers Bogota as a city that never sleeps, full of buildings and all the cosmopolitan characteristics. "This city is full of life" she says. And the best part is that it's safe, so she walks in the street with no fear of getting robbed.
Silvia thanks the opportunity of living in Colombia with her dream job.
